Baby Ballet (2 -6 year olds)
This class will follow an actual format of an actual ballet class to include basic barre exercise and center practice. Children will also demonstrate skills and combinations traveling across the floor.
Ballet Levels (II –IV)
The foundation of all dance forms. Body placement, flexibility, balance, alignment, strength and technique are achieved through barre and center floor work.
Understanding the relationship between music, rhythm and controlled movement with proper ballet technique.
New and more complex material will be taught at an accelerated pace. Student will begin to learn basic ballet history and develop a knowledge and great appreciation of the great ballets, classical music and famous dancers.
An advanced class combining skills from previous level classes and correlating steps to lengthy and complex combinations with correct technique, extensive terminology and knowledge of the art of ballet itself.
Hip Hop is a blend of today’s high energy “street style” Movement. Typically performed to “popular rap music,” This style of dance has been sought after by teens, Preteens and the “young at heart.” The style boasts That everyone is capable of taking part and having fun! Sometimes percussive and other times it incorporates “house or club” dancing, making Hip Hop the lastest Dance phenomenon.
Baby Jazz (2 – 5 years old)
This is an energetic class that will include stretching and cardiovascular warm Up along with basic body isolations and coordination exercises using upbeat And popular music.
Jazz Levels I-IV
We challenge our students with many different forms of jazz, all high energy But with different styles. These classes are popular with all ages and provide And added benefit of cardiovascular exercise due to the high level of energy Exerted. Jazz class is a fun and fast paced mixture of various techniques.
Contemporary dance explores movement, space, rhythm and the dancer’s own creativity with emphasizes on momentum, shapes and patterns. This form of dance is inspired by nature, music, art, and human emotions.
Floor Barre/Lengthen & Strengthen Class Description
Find your inner strength! Improve your body alignment & technique. Improve muscular awareness, & prevent injury. This class is great for the dancer looking to greatly increase flexibility, and to elongate and strengthen muscles, especially of the legs, feet,hips, and back. Strengthening exercises will also be incorporated to help the dancer achieve power in movements. Not a technique class.
Itty Bitty Tumbling
Dancers work on strength, flexibility, and tumbling skills. Forward and Backward Rolls, Cartwheels, Handstands, Bridges, and more.
A fantastic form of dance that improves strength, flexibility, jumps, and tumbling. Great for dancers and cheerleaders. Back handsprings, ariels, standing tucks, layouts and a variety of tumble passes and tricks makes this class a favorite!!
